“Taking A Proactive Approach To Your Prostate Health using Diet, Supplements, Meditation and Exercise”

Ken Malik, Co-Founder & Executive Director of
The Prostate Awareness Foundation

Join us for an informative evening and learn how to use these proven prostate friendly ideas as either the foundation of your watchful waiting protocol, as an adjunct to your present strategy or for preventative measures. Ken is a 10-year veteran of prostate cancer. His innovative protocol has kept his early stage prostate cancer at bay without the need for radical intervention. Also featured in Ken’s lecture are photos from the Cancer Climb for Prostate Awareness expeditions. Significant others, friends and loved ones are welcome. A suggested donation of $10 will help defray the cost of the room.

Tidbits:
Calling All African-American & Latino Men with Prostate Cancer: A UCLA research study is offering $40 for two short interviews about your experience with prostate cancer and how it has affected your life. The study is totally confidential and will be used to help other men with the disease. If you’re interested in participating contact Sarah or Griselda at 1-800-409-8252

Pomegranate Juice: A recent clinical trial shows promise in reducing PSA doubling time. Dr Allan Pantuck at UCLA Medical Center reports on 48 men who consumed 8 ounces of pomegranate juice daily. Before the study began, the average PSA doubling time was 15 months, after the study it was 37 months. Pomegranates are rich in polyphenols and ellagic acid and may have triple the antioxidant value of green tea. Raspberries and blueberries are also rich in ellagic acid. Make sure you use an organic product, as berries can be high in pesticide content!
